Born in Vienna on 19 September 1377
Died in Klosterneuburg, near Vienna, on 14 September 1404
The only son of Duke Albrecht III, he initially shared power with his cousin Wilhelm. However, he became increasingly embroiled in conflict with his relatives from the line of his uncle, Leopold. These disputes continued after his death and eventually led to further divisions of sovereignty.
