The Leopoldine Wing of the Hofburg contained part of the Ceremonial Apartments which occupied the suite of rooms that extended towards the inner palace courtyard/Franzenshof. The enormous length and regularity of the façade were in keeping with the early Baroque ideal of monumentality.
